2 Chronicles 20:20
Who are prophets? Prophets are custodians of God’s secrets Amos 3:7 it is a very dangerous activity to mock a prophet/the prophetic. Doubting the prophetic release of a prophet is a way of mocking the prophet/prophetic. The way you talk about your prophet could end up as a way of mocking the prophet/prophetic. Whether a prophet be small or great, young or old you must not mock your prophet.
Many have carried one curse or the other because of mocking the prophetic, Psalm 1:1 you can never be blessed when you are mocking the prophet who is releasing a blessing on you. Avoid communion with those who mock the prophetic so you don’t end up cursed. Mocking the prophetic makes one a mockery, 2 Kings 7:1-2. We must beware of mocking the prophetic both in the secret and in the open, Numbers 12:1-2/10. That is why it is important for us to pray for mercy during this period of prayer and fasting so the curse of mocking the prophetic can be lifted from our lives.
WHY MUST I BEWARE OF MOCKING THE PROPHETIC
- It consumes the people– 2 Kings 2:23-24
- It is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost– it is a sin that leads to death Matthew 12:31 mocking the prophet is tantamount to mocking the Holy Ghost and it leads to death.
- It places one under perpetual curse– 2 Samuel 6:16/23
What is the Way Out? Don’t sit with them, avoid their company Jeremiah 15:17, Jude 1:18
